Utilising world-class Wavegarden Cove surf technology, you’ll be able to take full advantage of over 1,000 waves an hour – with no need to worry about overcrowding, noisy machinery, or having to wait around for a wave! When you go Surfing in Bristol, you’ll be supplied with everything you need to participate in your experience which includes a complete safety briefing, all the necessary equipment, and expert tuition from our friendly qualified instructors.

When you visit our awesome Bristol Surfing venue, you’ll be supplied with a wetsuit, boots, and surfboard. We are able to accommodate for all levels of ability, and so there’s no need to worry if you’re a total beginner! Parking spaces and toilets are also available on-site for our visitors.

Intermediate Surf

Our intermediate sessions take place on The Point, which creates small open face waves which maintains their unbroken profile to the end - perfect for improving surfing skills. The intermediate area is for surfers who can consistently catch and ride small waves. As an intermediate surfer, you need to be able to pop up with confidence and control the speed of your surfboard. The Point is the is the ideal zone to have an enjoyable and safe experience for improving surfers, who are looking for more of a challenge than the beginner Bay waves, but aren’t quite ready for the advanced Reef. Either side of our lake produces right- or left-hand waves, so surfers will be surfing either front or back hand.

Beginner Lesson

Our intermediate surf lessons include lakeside training and personalised in-wave coaching. They take place in The Point, which has a small open-faced wave that is ideal for developing your ability to control your speed and turns. The intermediate area is for surfers who can consistently catch and ride waves and for those ready to progress from the beginner wave. As an intermediate surfer, you need to be able to turn and adjust the speed of your surfboard easily, riding waves and changing direction with confidence on either a right- or left-hand wave.
